Questions about Razorpay charges
What is the Razorpay fee?
Razorpay charges a payment gateway fee on every successful transaction. This fee covers payment processing, settlement and fraud protection. Currently estimated at 2.5% per transaction for domestic payments.
Why is GST added on top?
As per Indian tax rules, GST is applicable on the Razorpay fee. Currently 18% GST is applied on the gateway fee.
Is the rate the same for all methods?
In this calculator, yes — we've applied a flat 2.5% across Card, Net Banking, UPI and Wallet for simplicity. Razorpay's actual rate card may vary by method; confirm with Razorpay.
Is the calculator result final?
No. The result is an estimate. Actual charges depend on Razorpay's live rates, payment method mix, transaction type and applicable regulations.
Are there any hidden charges?
No hidden charges. Razorpay fee and GST are the only deductions on payments. Any additional services (e.g. photography, paid ads) are quoted separately.
